Picking up metal detecting for a new Hobby. What gear do I need and what is a good beginner detector?
I live on the coast and figured I would give this a shot, what with all the beaches around here. But I am not even really sure where to start.

It really depends what you are looking for and where you want to use the detector. There are different types so make sure you know about what each one do! Hope this helps!
